Boy was I nervous after reading all the reviews on-line. We were moving from

Las Vegas, Nevada to Bangor Maine



We were paying for the move ourselves and were not interested in moving/driving ourselves considering the size of our move. We interviewed all the major companies and went with the best customer service and lowest quote. This was with America's Moving Services through yourmovingday.com. Eric Snider the owner was our customer service rep and he was ALWAYS available and extremely helpful. He also gave us ALL the boxes for our move. (Although we were given a quote from our local relocation company they used a United company from Nevada. This was not a problem, but this was also something that I didn't know was going to happen. And had I known...I would have checked out the moving company in Las Vegas before making my decision. Fortunately, the customer service was still through our reps and our driver and assistant couldn't have been better.



We agreed on a move date and 3 days before the move I received a call from the driver & asst., David and Alex They were checking in and letting me know what time they were going to come and set up, etc. He was there ON time and was conscientious, professional and organized. In order to save money, my husband and I were packing ourselves and Alex came in and the day before the move to set up the floor mats, mats to protect our walls, etc. and helped get us motivated to finish the job.



(NOTE: The only thing that broke was our coffee pot. That was my fault. I just threw the sucker in at the last minute without paper. USE the packing paper. Lots of it. Insulate your tops, bottoms and sides. You won't believe how high they pack the boxes and even if you write FRAGILE, THIS WAY UP...the movers may not be taking this into consideration. The smallest boxes go on top. Have a fragile item??? Put it in a smaller box and it will ride on the top of the shipment. I put ours all together in big boxes and was really lucky. It was the amount of paper that I used that saved me).



The next they showed up and there was I asked them if they would please hold off a day, because we were not totally ready and we didn't want to damage the furniture, etc. They were extremely accommodating and went ahead and wrapped everything in blankets and tagged the entire inventory.



They next day they came back and loaded the truck and headed East. We were to arrive and meet them 6 days later. (We had more than 3/4's of the truck and they had a stop in between). On the sixth day as we were heading into town, Alex called and said he was close to our house. We met them in front of our new home and let them in to prepare for moving in the next day. The next day we met to unload and the "extra help" they hired didn't show up. Alex and David did everything themselves. And we helped with moving the items around the house. Everything showed up. We filed a claim to get some money reimbursed because the extra help didn't show up and we were sent checks for our time a few weeks later. We felt like we made new friends with our drivers. We went out to eat and we were extremely pleased with our moving experience and would definately 100% say to use this company.

I am writing this review in regards to my recent move through yourmovingday.com and americas moving services. I can say in a few brief words that they were both a pleasure to work with and as professional as a company could be from start to finish. I would recommend and will recommend this company to anyone that is moving.

I moved my 5 bedroom house, 3 cars and small office furniture through this firm adn they did a class A move for me. I will use them to relocate employees and family members when the time comes. They have earned a client that relocated several people on a monthly basis and I will recommend this company to others as well.

Second move

this was the second move through yourmovingday.com one for my in-laws and this one for myself and both were great. I would recommend this company to others and if i move again I would use them and I know for a fact that my in-lawa would too.

A great move

yourmovingday helped move us from Montpelier to Houston 2 weeks back and really did a great move for us. We were reluctant to hire a company off the internet and considered a few of the large van lines but when we factored costs in we really did not have a choice. We had 2 in house estimates from North American and Allied and they were off the chart and well over our budget so we went online and got about 30 more literally and we found yourmovingday.com on this particular website and went with them due to their great reviews on here and their price was $1,600.00 less than one of the in house estimates and $1900.00 less than the other. We also recieved a quote from another moving company for $2,000.00 which after checking them out we found probably 100 horrible reviews about them. Yourmovingday did us justice and provided not only great service but a great price as well and after sorting everything out, our weight was slightly higer than the estimate which added an additional $300 to the original quote which we were informed could happen. All in all this was a great experience as far as moving goes and if we move again we would call them again next time.

Excellent relocation

My latest relocation has been one of many obstacles. We relocated our parents that have been living in Chicago for over 25 years in the same residence. They were moving out of a 5000 square foot house fully furnished and everything was moving. yourmovingday.com set us up and helped coordinate a move for a price that was for one, unbeatable yet still pricey coming in at just over 15,000 but nobody other than the moving crew had to lift a finger or pack a box and they packed over 300 boxes and did a truly incredible job doing so. We were extremely worried about this move as were our folks because quite frankly they did not want to move but nonetheless it was done and it was done the right way without any problems whatsoever and we owe a great big thanks to yourmovingday and americas moving for helping take out the stress of the move. I am a medium sized business owner and relocate employees to different states frequently and they have earned both my trust and business. Thank you all so much and hopefully this review helps other people online searching for movers make a good decision.

After receiving my items from storage after 2 months I am happy to report a thumbs up for yourmovingday and walsh moving. They were great at my pick-up stored my belongings for 2 months and great on delivery as well. The pricing was reasonable and I would surely use them again and recommend them to anyone moving.

great relocation

I would like to thank yourmovingday.com for our recent relocation project which involved a large move from the home we lived in for over 30 years. We reserved our move in advance and were told that our load dates were to be October 20th or the 21st with a strong preference on the 20th for packing and the 21st for loading. The crew called us on the 18th and informed us in fact that they would be in the area a day earlier than scheduled and would like to begin packing on the 19th if possible. We agreed and they showed up at 7am on the morning of the 19th to begin packing our home up. The driver and crew (4 total people) were absolutely excellent in packing and finished at 6:30 pm. They proceeded to load our belongings on the tractor the following morning and after signing last minute paperwork were on their way. We were told that delivery would be on or around the 27th due to the distance and the fact that they had another delivery and pick up along the route but they would call us when they were a day out. We recieved that call on the 25th and were actually delivered on the 26th. The unloading process was seemless and the guys again (only 3 of the men were there to unload) were excellent. We would like to thank them again for all of their hard work,professionalism, and efforts that went into making our second move in 40 years one that we would certainly recommend to others and will refer them to others in the future.

Great company to deal with and their agent americas moving services was wonderful throughout our relocation. The movers showed up on time and did a fantastic job moving us out and packing our belongings. They got us to our destination in 5 days which was expected as we were told 2 to 7 days for delivery and the moving estimate was on the money in fact a few hundred pounds under which worked out great for us as well. highly recommended company.

Would use again

I would use this company again fro my next move if I move. They were consistant with the other reviews I have read regarding their services and although they were a day later than expected it was told to me and I agreed on the later pick-up. happy with services

i am happy with this services provided. my family we moved our household goods and 1 toyota camry as well and both did a very nice job. my only concern was the timing for delivery from pa going to oh was a little longer than we wanted. the delivery was 4 days and we were hoping maybe 2 or 3 but it ended up very well.

I contracted with americas moving services after finding yourmovingday on this particular website and could not have asked for a more professional and well organized company. I reserved my move through a yourmovingday service provider for my move last month and they moved my vehicle last week without incident. All I can say is that they did what they promised and provided me with great service from the door. I was impressed with the moving crew and tipped each of the 3 man crew $100.00 for their hard work and effort. My car was very important as I needed it relatively quick and they got it to me in 4 days which was perfect. Once again thank you for your efforts chris with helping me book my moves and doug,kirk and jaimie for doing my move and doing a wonderful job at it.

We went online to find a moving company to move us from Wyoming to Tennesse and found yourmovingday.com to be very helpful. We filled out the online moving estimate form and recieved calls from several moving companies and chose one of them based on other moving review websites and after checking them out with the better business bureau went ahead and locked them in for our move. We have never moved before but read many horror stories associated with moving and are glad we used the company we did. The moving estimate they gave us was based on an inventory list and some packing we had the moving company do. They weighed the truck 20 miles away before they picked up and went back and weighed the truck after they picked up and our estimated weight was only 300 lbs. different in our favor. They re-calculated our pricing and deducted $140.00 off of our final bill. The moving company was honest,fast, and communicated with us throughout the entire move. Thank you for a job well done.

I USED YOURMOVINGDAY.COM FOR OUR RECENT MOVE AND WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE OUTCOME. WE HAD A VERY GOOD CONVERSATION WITH OUR SALES REP MICHAEL MARTIN FROM AMERICAS MOVING SERVICES. HE GAVE US A MOVING ESTIMATE FOR 2,000 LBS. WITH A PRICE OF $1,650.00 TO MOVE FROM WEST VIRGINIA TO LOUISIANNA AND WE WENT AHEAD AND BOOKED WITH THEM. THEY PICKED US UP ON THE DAY THEY SAID THEY WOULD AND DELIVERED US 3 DAYS AFTER. I WOULD USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN AND WILL REFER OTHERS TO THEM.
