poor communication, lie, under estimate, not dependable

This company is friendly until they get your credit card number and then all communications stop. They outright lie. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following: 1) We are not brokers, we own out own trucks and the drivers are our employees The truck turned out to be a U-Haul and the drivers worked for some moving company out of Florida. 2) I will give you my personal cell phone number and please call me if you hve any problems or questions. After the truck did not show up on the promised day, I tried to call this number, sent texts to this number, and emailed the individual and received no responses. Ken never answered his telephone. 3) Our drivers have at least 3 years of experience. At what? These drivers were the most unprofessional movers I have ever worked with. When asked where they stayed the previous night, they said in the truck. One slept in the cab and the other in the back--I assume on a couch that they were moving for someone. On both ends of the move they tried to get us to buy their dinner. I refused in that I thought I was paying a fair price for this move already. They broke items that I did not think was possible to break. And they were so slow. It took hours to load and unload a small two bedroom apartment. I asked for a receipt at the conclusion of the move and the drivers acted like they did not know what I was talking about. Surely in their over three years of experience someone else asked for a receipt. As they were leaving, they got the U-Haul stuck on a high place on our driveway so that the back wheels would not make contact with the ground. They asked to borrow the jack from my Toyota Matrix. Not thinking (my mistake) I let them use my jack. They then attempted to use this little jack to jack up a large truck. The jack gave way and broke. I asked if they were going to buy me a new jack and they asked how much one cost. I called the dealership to find out and then told them the cost quoted. Once they got their truck loose, they took off in a hurry with no mention of the jack.4) You will have an exact moving date a week before the move The drivers did not even get the order until mid day on the promised date as documented on date stamp on the fax they received. They were in another state at the time they received this. However, all paperwork was dated as if they moved us on the promised date. Note: This company is also known as Nationwide Moving Services. Avoid Them!

Do NOT use this company based out of Kauffman, Texas

Texas Moving Services, aka: Nationwide Movers, contracted a move for us in November - from Virginia to Florida.

First, Texas Moving Services subcontracted the work -- something they promised they never did when they were selling us the move on the phone.

Second, the subcontractor held our items hostage and demanded cash, so we had ot seek out police intervention. Meanwhile, Texas Moving Services would not help us mitigate the problem to get our belongings.

Third, they REFUSED to show us our bill of ladening OR our weight tickets -- the subcontractors unloaded after the police made them, and just kept all paperwork, which PROVED what our move should have actually cost.

Fourt, We have nearly a THOUSAND DOLLARS IN DAMAGES ($975), and Texas Moving Services will not: take our calls, respond to messages or work with us at all to resolve the damaged items. In fact the company they use, Anthem Claim Management, is also a rip off.

So to sum it up, we were told lies to book the move, then had our belongings subcontracted out to two men from Nigeria, who demanded cash from us. We also have nearly a grand in damages and NO way to get this resolved, other than a lawsuit.

In the interim, we have filed complaints with: FMCSA, Texas DOT and the BBB - just to get started.

Beware of Ken Richards, his info is: ken250@texasmovingservices.com, phone: 864-990-1136.

And as a ridiculous aside, all of the men they work with use the name Ken - both movers, the dispatcher and the salesman...so absurd.

Texas Moving Services Moving Company KAUFMAN Texas

I used Rent.com to find a moving company. This company was one of several that submitted a bid. They were very friendly at first, telling me they would be able to do a same-day delivery since it was less than 250 miles. They were willing to work with me and said all the right things. I agreed to use them and gave them the deposit. The movers showed up 6 hours late on the agreed date, claimed there was traffic issues. It took them over four hours to load the van (for a one-bedroom apartment). As soon as they locked the doors on the van, they said, we will deliver in 4 days. When I asked about the same day delivery, they said it was too late and that I wouldn't get the load until then (four days later). To make a long story short, they didn't show up then - in fact it took over a week for them to deliver. When I spoke to the office (Emily) and asked who the owners are, Emily said, This is an LLC and there are no owners. I told her that LLC's are owned by individuals, she gave me a list of names. One was Emily Woods. I asked her if she was one-in-the-same, she said, Yes.

When the movers did deliver the load, every box had been opened, every box had been crushed, everything had scratches on them. I watched as the movers were throwing the boxes out of the back of the van! What I realized is one guy got my attention in Tulsa while the other skipped over inventoring several boxes, thereby they were able to remove items from several boxes and even keep several boxes from me.

I strongly suggest keeping away from this company - unless you want nothing but trouble. They just told me their claims company and I see on here they are rip-off artists as well.

I will file the claims and move forward to work with the Attorney General in Texas to see if there is something I could do.
