Great job guys
Our first encounters with Federal Moving Systems were fairly negative but the owner, Allen went out of his way to accommodate us and make up for their shortcomings. It seems that we encountered the only 2 bad employees in a company that is otherwise full of friendly, helpful, and very capable people.
I would absolutely hire Federal Moving Systems again.

Federal Moving Systems
Hello, I just moved this week, which is incredibly stressful. After reading some reviews and taking the suggestions of my friend who used Federal Moving Systems a few months ago, I decided to call for an estimate. I scheduled the estimate for mid-July, telling them I wanted my move date to be July 23. Everything went great, and with no problems, and I want to thank them with this review.
Regards, Jenny.

Hire at Your Own Risk!
I originally contracted with Federal Moving Systems on October 15, 2009, to pack, move and then unpack my household goods from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to Lehigh Acres, Florida. The original quotation was $3,611.73 based upon an appraisal made by their Customer Rep, Chris Michalski; the shipping weight was determined to be 6,600 lbs. He told me he usually overestimates the weight when a price is given. A date of October 27, 2009 was to be the date the movers were to arrive, with a back up date of October 28th. I made it very clear to Chris that I had to vacate the home on October 29th, because the new owners were taking possession on that day. I received a phone message on October 27th that the truck was delayed would not arrive until 10 AM on October 28th. I was assured that the men were experienced and that everything would be packed professionally and moved prior to the 29th. And that my household items would never leave the truck. The movers and truck did not arrive until 4 PM on the 28th. The movers were two men who drove a Ryder rental truck from Baltimore. The moving boxes were from Home Depot and no bubble wrap was used in packing. The movers did not appear to be experienced or even W-2 employees, as claimed by Federal Moving Systems. I was given an empty truck weight slip. The shipping inventory was simply written on a yellow legal pad. The movers had not completed packing until October 29th. This caused serious issues with the new owners of the house because they had planned to move in on the 29th. I had to agree to pay the new owners $150 to have the house cleaned because of the huge mess left behind by the movers. The movers demanded that I pay the balance in full with a credit card prior to them leaving for Florida. On October 29th I received an email on my Blackberry from the owner of Federal Moving Systems, Max Ferrari stating that the weight was now 11,040 lbs. and that the total price would now be $7,562.73. I was then contacted by "Chris" to tell me that the balance had to be paid in full prior to delivery of my household items and payment had to be in cash to the drivers, PayPal or wire transfer. I contested this because that was not part of the original agreement. As a result, my household items were held hostage at an undisclosed warehouse in Fort Wayne, Indiana, until the balance was paid in full. After much negotiation with Max, my brother (and employer), played the 'good cop' to my being the 'bad cop, paid these highway bandits $6000 cash via bank wire transfer to a third partys account just to get my possessions released. I finally received my household goods on November 20th; delivered by two different drivers, this time in a Penske rental truck. My household goods and boxes were a mess and many furniture items were damaged beyond repair. Additionally, my wifes jewelry valued at about $4000 was, not surprisingly, missing as well. Federal Moving System is a moving broker scammer that preys on unwitting consumers with a bait price and then switched to a corrected price once they have your personal possessions. They will then put your belongings into storage until the ransom price is paid in cash, wire transfer or PayPal before delivery of your household goods is made. The storage allows for damage to your household items and affords plenty of time for the bandits to go through your valuables. Lastly, at no time was I given the weight slip of the full truck. I was not given a DOT Moving Company Buyers Guide nor DOT Shippers disclosure form. Below, is a link is to a website showing pictures of my damaged articles and of the unpacked crumpled boxes that were simply piled into my garage in Florida.

Fedral Moving system worst moving company
Moving
is stressful, and it will be at least 100 time more stress if you use federal
moving system. They dont communicate at all (try you self to contact all the number they gave you), there number keep disconnecting periodically. They did not contact me until
one day pass my moving day, I was trying to speak with some one for more than 48 hours before moving without success. Finally call me back after I sent multiple emails acknowledging I want to take legal actions. At that point they refuse to return my deposited 480$. They didnt wrap my items (they paid for full service). Almost all my items damaged between minor to moderate damage. I called the company regarding the damage and
for sure no luck. I used different and even cheaper moving company in the past and no company disrespect customer likes Federal Moving system they are SCAM. Also I gave them initially detailed items list and they told me 5000 pounds is more than out I need, so you get illusion about good price and (I ve been told) the final weight 8000, so you will pay extra by each pound. So you think you have
good deal initially but you will end paying more.
The Bad:
Stressful.
No communication after they receive the deposit.
Dishonest and liars.
Overpriced.
Damaged my stuff.
They did not wrap my stuff as they promised and paid for.
They will not return the deposit.
Still no communication after moving.
The
Good:
None.
Please
find another company they dont deserve to be in business.
Good
luck with your move and you has been warned.

Extremely Shady
Like the comment below me. Four different times set to pick up. We were told we would be the only customers on the truck. Upon arrival 1/4 of the truck was full. Causing them to Leave behind over $5,000 worth of my items. For they would not fit on their truck. They Insisted on being paid in cash prior to unloading the truck. Even though contract states I could pay with credit card etc. Moving out of state does not make for easy access to get your hands on that much cash. Called online # for days and got no return phone calls. I also dealt with a Chris Mischkowski to arrange the move. He was sweet as pie. Telling me how they are so much better than all the other moving companies. Once deposit was paid he was no longer available to speak to me. Deposit was told it was not going to be charged to my card it was to hold the availability. They charged that $500. hold fee to my debit card. Many items arrived broken. Moving is very stressful....but they made this move a complete nightmare. I will be filing an official complaint as you all should do. Here is a site to do so Safersys.org. I will also be contacting an attorney to fight this out in court. Don't trust them bringing you to the better Business Bureau reports. Movers are not reported there. They are reported to the web address I gave you above. Shady... # is not even available to call any longer and it has only been two weeks. Awful experience....having all your belongings being held hostage by the movers of this company.

Satisfied Customer
I contracted these guys not knowing what to expect because we were use to dealing with Allied. This year the way the economy is I had to select a more cost friendly mover. I was a little apprehensive but didnt have much choice. After careful review I selected Federal Moving and the entire experience was a breath of fresh air. The truck arrived on time. the company called me the day before and let me know that they would be arriving on time.My sales representative answered all of my questions and always got right back to me as soon as I called. And trust me, I called alot. I would estimate that from the time I put down a deposit I had to call at least twenty different times to get him to answer several questions that arose as we got closer to the move date. I knew he had to be tired of me. But like I was saying, the move date arrived and the guys, John and Ryan were fantastic. They wrapped everything and stacked it in the truck with care. After they were done I even tipped them and we were off to the destination. The delivery took about 3 days and we were right in the window they had promised. When everything arrived, the same driver and helper that picked me up were the same that delivered and that was a relief to me becuase I didnt want my items being transfered from truck to truck. They unloaded and I did get my weight tickets. I had gone over a few hundred dollars but that was fine. There were some things that I had that I forgot to to tell Scott my sales rep. I have now unpacked everything and there were absolutely no damges at all! Thank you guys. I told you if the move didnt go well I would be your worst customer. But it went great and now I want to be your best. Thank you so much. I would recommend doing buisness with Federal Moving Systems anytime.

Bad experience
I contacted Federal Moving Systems after finding out my husband (newlywed) was being relocated for work. We had a short amount of time to arrange the move and shopped around for a company who would be willing to guarantee a delivery pick up and drop off. Federal Moving Systems customer rep: Robert was a smooth talker. He promised me that his company could indeed move us on such short notice. I was told I would receive a call 24 hours prior to my moving date (Sept.l 30th)...well, that didn't happen. I called to find out what was going on and Robert informed me to call him back by 5pm if I hadn't heard anything. I called him back at 5:15 and he had LEFT for the day. Why a company would instruct you to call them and then leave early is beyond me. I was then told that the movers wouldn't be in to pick up our belongings until our backup date (10/01). I was guaranteed a pick up of between 9-12. After 12 I call to find out that the time has been changed from 12-2. No one called me to inform me of the change. After 2, I called yet again to find out that the time had changed to between 3 4. I was guaranteed AGAIN that they would be there by 4 at the absolute latest. I didn't end up getting my belongings picked up until after 7pm. Their excuse was they got held up at the weigh station, which I would have believed had the slip of paper they gave us telling us the weight of the vehicle hadn't been posted the day BEFORE!! The gentlemen who actually packed us up were very polite, and managed to move the furniture in a timely manner...including lifting an upright piano up a flight of stairs!! Robert never answered my calls like I asked him to, never called me back. I was the one always calling and trying to find out what was being done. My husband had to ask time off of work because of this, we lost 2 days of work (and income), and the only response I received was when I threatened to contact the BBB. Only then did I get a call back and it was filled with excuses. Chris, another customer rep, even went so far as to tell me he was going to talk to his supervisor to see what could be done to expedite the process...I never heard back from him. Then we were told it was going to be a 14 hour drive and they would drop our belongins off at our new location by 5pm (10/02). After 5pm, we were informed that they couldn't make it because they were too tired and would be making the delivery by 7am the next day (10/03). Hours have passed and we still haven't heard from them. I would NOT recommend using this company at all. We have lost business, money, time and worst of all it has been a stressful endeavor to what could have been a pleasant experience.

Good Company
I scheduled a movine with Federal Moving to be picked up on Sept. 29th. Brian was my sales guy, he came out to my home and gave me a very competetive quote. I checked their reputation out online the I went with it. The movers arrived at my house on timne on the 29th and worked quickly and efficiently. I was surprised that the movers packed and loaded my 4 bedroom home in less than 10 hours. The crew we had was amazing. Miguel and his helpers were very nice and were a pleasure to deal with. On the delivery date they off loaded my furniture and still I have not so far seen any damages. I want thank Federal Moving and if I move again in the near future we will be contacting you.

Thanks Guys
We recently moved from NM to FL and contracted Federal for the job. I am normally a choosy/picky customer, but I must say that the service offered by Federal was excellent on all fronts: 1) they responded very quickly to my quote request, and were very open about the entire process; 2) they scheduled the move according to my constraints, despite the fact that I contacted them only 3 weeks in advance, and the move was done over the Independence Day holiday; 3) the move was perfomed very professionally, it took them only 4 days total, we were able to check the status while in transit, everything was delivered in perfect condition; 4) from quote to scheduling and billing, everybody at Federal was very professional, prompt and forthcoming. Federal is my first preference for the next move. I give them perfect grades on all aspects.

This moving company ruined my move by NO SHOWING 3 days
I negotiated a price for my move with a moving company name Federal Moving Systems three months prior, provided a deposit AND signed an agreement. Two weeks out I called to confirm our move because no one contacted me, and found out I was not even on the books. I was told don't worry about the deposit, that they would collect everything at the time of the move. Again, after several calls, I was told we were on the schedule for Tuesday, July 2nd, before Noon. At 3 PM, I got a call telling me that we weren't getting picked up that day at all. It was the busiest time of the year for them, and the guarantee that they will pick up on Thursday morning. 100% I was told. Believe it or not, Thursday did not happen either. NO SHOW. Several calls back and forth produced no new information. I was sick to my stomach. I'd planned this move for months. We were moving home for the first time since Hurricane Katrina. It was a very important time for me and my family, and Federal Moving ruined what should have been a timely, affordable move. We received a call from the driver explaining that he would be there first thing Friday morning, but I told him to forget it. I was not going to give them another chance. They made a fool out of me twice, and I would not let them do it again. We located local movers for the NEXT DAY that stepped in and handled the move admirably. Of course it cost us more as we booked them for Friday, July 3rd. We will be sending this same report to the BBB in Philadelphia, PA. In all my years in hospitality customer service, I have never seen anything remotely close to the unprofessional experience I had with Federal Moving Systems. It was like the Three Stooges was running the show.

Stay Away From This Moving Company
I chose this moving company to move my wife and I based on price. The move was cancelled because of work related issues. I cancelled with the company WELL within the limits of full refund clause in the contract. After speaking with them initially and being told that they would give me the full refund, I can't even get in contact with them. No reply, no phone answering, and not a penny back. Shady Business! Beware!!!
