Be forewarned!

Horrible experience, so be warned---initially friendly staff, very responsive to my questions, and gave me a good quote over the phone, including a 15% discount on my order. Then, (1.) they sent a sister moving company that showed up a day late (Beckens told me a I would get a discount for this, which never materialized), (2.) charged me nearly twice the original quote once my belongings were on their truck, (3.) agreed to my delivery date, but didn't tell me that, by contract, they can deliver up to a month later without penalty, (4.) repeatedly failed to answer my questions, or even return my calls, about my final price and delivery, (5.) delivered my belongings approximately three weeks after the agreed upon delivery date, and then (6.) the manager told me, after I expressed how bad my experience with his company had been, that I was the kind of customer that made him not want to give discounts to people. Really bad experience. Bad idea in general to go with a moving broker like this...but specifically, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

They will not only charge you more than agreed, They will lose and destory your property after delivering many weeks after agreed.

Great Reps, good services

I used Beckens not to long ago from Boston to NYC. My moved took a total of 3 days from pickup to drop off. I had no problem or issue with them. They did a good job on my LCD which was my biggest concern. I'll definitely think about using them again when I move out to NC next year.

Stay away

This company is nothing more than a "bait and switch" scam. Whatever price they quote you will not be honored. In fact, we entered into a contract with their moving company and had it in writing. They loaded up the truck and then held our property hostage until we paid a ransom that was more than double the original contract price.



Bunch of crooks -- don't even bother calling them.
