The charge was $500 over the estimate. The add stated payment was due at delivery but they asked for my credit card number over the phone before Ihad a contract.

Fantastic Moving Solution!
ABF U-Pack provided a great solution for my complicated cross-country move. I used their relo-cube service which is just like PODS, only way cheaper! They delivered 3 cubes to my house but I only filled 2. I was only charged for the 2 cubes that I used, even though the 3rd one sat at my house for almost a week.
They were able to ship my stuff to their storage center in my new home city. And, when I arrived- a month later!- they just dropped the cubes off at my new apartment.
The cubes are small enough to fit in a single parking space, so I only took up two spaces for my two cubes and I could unpack at my leisure. Much better than parking a huge moving truck in my apartment parking lot, potentially pissing off the new neighbors, and frantically unpacking all in one day!
U-Pack was timely, convenient and friendly. They did the driving and provided a month's worth of storage. All of this and they cost $1000 less than PODS! I couldn't be happier. The next time I move I'll definitely be giving them a call!

Great, if nothing goes wrong.
We've used ABF's U-Pack twice now, and when nothing goes wrong, it's great.
However.
If you have water damage (one driver parked the trailer on a hill, and rain ran down the door and under it, filling one end of the trailer with a couple inches of water), don't count on getting anything from them. Period. Get a rider on your home owner's insurance, and you might have better luck.
Call them and check on transit times. If you fill a trailer, it's going to go much more quickly than they say. Our trailer sat for days and days in the July sun because they told us nearly two weeks to get from Idaho to Washington, and it took only a few days.
Lastly, if you don't fill the trailer, hope desperately that they'll fill it the rest of the way. Their bulkhead bracing system is flimsy, and doesn't hold worth beans. We had some property damage due to bulkhead failure, and once again, no reimbursement. Not even a response to our claim.

Pleased
I utilized ABF-U Pack for my move last month and it went very well although my only complaint is the truck was quite dirty but other than that I was happy and would use the service again.
