Worst Moving Company

I had a last minute move, and I went with them because the price was reasonable, and they were local. Big mistake. They were late on pick up and delivery, half my things were damaged, and boxes were missing. They charged like 4 times as much, and tried to settle with me at 2 times as much. None of the workers speak english. Cant understand them. I don't think their sales associates understand them, that's probably why my price was jacked up. Don't move with this company unless you want to waste your time and money. Seriously, you're better off paying a high price with a better company. These guys don't even own a truck. How sad. Now I see how all their bad reviews can to be. Resolved? Yeah right.

Excellent Moving Company

I am writing to inform you of the fantastic work that one of your moving teams performed for my family recently.

Unfortunately, my grandmother had passed away last week. On April 9th, we needed to move her things out of her apartment in Reading, PA and to my mother's house in Clifton, NJ. We called your company on short notice to set this up, as there are a number of fragile antiques that would be moving. Your foreman called on his way to the pick-up location to inform us of his progress through traffic, so that we would have an accurate idea of his arrival time. When he and the helpers arrived, they were very courteous, worked very quickly, and, more importantly, packed the fragile items expertly. My mother's fears for the safety of these items were immediately allayed upon seeing the superb packing job. Upon arrival at the final destination they unpacked the items perfectly, and did the whole job in a few less hours than originally budgeted for.

Thanks to you at Liberty Moving and their excellent crew for making an otherwise difficult situation, so smooth and easy, not to mention stress free!

WORST MOVERS EVER!

These people are swindlers and thieves! My move across the country was supposed to take 7-10 days. Well, it's been 6-weeks and I still don't have my belongings. The truck has supposedly broken down in every state along the way and they are only giving me a $100 discount - if my stuff ever shows. Total b.s. What scammers these people are. Do your homework, don't use these guys!

Unsatisfactory Service

Where do I begin? I was introduced to these people from Southcoast Carriers. Southcoast provided a very competitive quote with a three day delivery and as a result got my business. ENTER LIBERTY MOVING GROUP. It turned out that Southcoast Carriers underestimated my inventory because the Liberty people pointed out that my items already loaded on the truck exceeded the estimated cubic footage in the proposal. This added approximately $1000.00 to the quote! I followed up three days later and was told my stuff was sitting in a half empty truck and not going to depart until it was fully loaded to maximize the truck space. Then Liberty finally arrived eleven days later...then told me I have to rent a U-Haul and pay them $150 cash because they could not get their truck into my apartment complex. The bottom line is that they did not follow through with their promise regarding delivery and it was my fault I put my trust into them. A $1300.00 quote turned into a $2400.00 nightmare!

Worst movers

DO NOT use Liberty Moving group for any move...they are BIG scammers. On the phone they will give you the lowest possible rates that you can't refuse and on the day of the move they will just tell you that through VISUAL INSPECTION it seems its going to be a whole lot more. We had scheduled a move with these scammers 3 weeks before our actual moving date .2days before the moving date I called again to confirm the price and I told them the EXACT number of boxes and size of boxes and the furniture AND the SIZE of furniture. The guy who answered (Chad, the manager) told me that it won't be more $20-$30 extra for the #of boxes I had specified. On the day of the move they came in 5 hours late (around 6PM, when all rental places were closed) and the driver came in and told us that its 400 Cubic feet and NOT 286 cubic feet like the sales lady (Anisa) had told us. He told us that the couch itself was 150 cu ft and when we measured with a measuring tape, we told him its 50 cubic feet and then he went on to tell us that I don't care what the actual meaurement of the couch is, but its going to take 150 cubic feet in my truck...we made several calls to the manager of the company who refused to co operate and instead asked us to go measure HIS truck, we canceled our move that day and he refused to pay us our 20% deposit back. I stringly advice EVERYONE considering Liberty Movers TO NOT go through with them...these people are scammers who will rip you off.

Avoid this company

Two sales people assured me due to an interstate move, that they'd allow me to pay by credit card. Once the bandits had my stuff on the truck and I had to run out to take a friend to the airport, they bullied my wife into giving up cash. First saying "the credit card machine was broken" and then claiming that the move didn't "qualify" for credit card purchase.

They said that if she did not pay, they would drive away with the belongings.

Later that evening I found a box of valuables missing. They could have only gone one place and despite claiming to have found them in one of their 'warehouses' - Liberty Moving Group has stopped taking calls and emails about the missing items.

They do not have their own trucks. Upon arrival it was a bunch of guys who barely spoke English with a Ryder Truck with a "Liberty Moving Group" sign taped on the side.

They have no legitimate contact/customer service representatives. It is a bunch of guys with asian or middle-eastern accents with cellphone numbers. I could never again get in touch with the 'sales person' - Anisa who originally set this deal up and if you call when they are not expecting it you do not get an office or business line - you get a personal line with kids screaming in the background and people talking. They are not insured beyond their own vehicluar insurance and cents on the ton...and you have to sign a waiver to that effect once they show up and start loading your goods. They of course do not confirm and arrive until the last minute so you have no time to cancel the deal.

They have now posted to sites claiming this was all the result of a 'former employee' and "everything is now alright". Then tell me why they have not compensated me for the theft and won't even return phone calls or email?

They are thieves and scammers.
