Never Use Eagle Van Lines
I would not recommend using eagle van lines to my worst enemy. I called the company multiple times (roughly 30 over a 2 week period, not exagerating) and left messages, but was never called back or was always transferred to a line that was not answered. They added 5 extra charges at the time of pickup that I was not informed of when getting the bid. My original bid was $1375 and I am trusting person; at the time of the move I was told that the total cost would be $2100, after reviewing my emailed contract I figured the max I would be charged would be roughly $1500 (minus the extra $200 in hidden fees). They have a 10 day window to move your things into your new place beyond the date of requested move (I was not told about this).
I agree with the other poor reviews by people, I only wish I would have read them prior to my experience.
I am currently still waiting for my things and have had to make myself a burden on others so I can have a bed to sleep in.
In closing, I hope that eagle van lines goes bankrupt so that no one else will have to experience what I have.

Don't use Eagle Van Lines!!!!
Am in the middle of the most horrific moving experience ever. If you are considering using Eagle Van Lines, please don't!!!
I had a packed 3 bedroom home and was quoted $8600 for a full service move from NC to Kansas. We fought with them repeatedly about how much stuff we had but were assured they could move it in one day. They showed up on a Friday with 2 people and didn't get started till noon. At the end of the first day, the truck driver had to stop working for religious reasons and my house was about 1/4 packed. They parked the truck in front of my house for the night and left the truck running overnight as the driver was not able to drive after 6. The other man Jeff, worked like a dog until about 11 by himself but was having to move items that were way too heavy for 1 man. They had packed all my boxes way beyond normal weight limits to save money on boxes & packing materials for themselves. My neighborhood is under restrictions & I got a ton of flack for having a 53 foot semi parked there overnight. They also helped themselves to a good portion of our liquor without permission. The second day, they hired welfare workers from off the street to help pack my things and they ran out of packing material so they just threw things into boxes and called it good. The driver sat in the truck praying most of the day except for when he let himself into the neighborhood pool. At about 6 when half of my house was packed, they announced that I needed to get rid of stuff as it wouldn't fit into the truck. By all accounts, the truck was not packed like a professional would pack it.
We ended up having to rent a UHaul for the things they could not fit into the semi. They did arrive on time in Kansas and did a nice job unloading but only after I complained to the owner and my husband pitched in and did a ton of the lifting.
I have spent the last week unpacking and trying to figure out where anything is as nothing was marked. Every morning I wake up thinking I am going to be a better person and not so upset by this then I find more broken items, missing items and overstuffed, overpacked boxes, cords to tvs and computers missing, etc. I will be digging out from this mess for months. Tonight I find I am missing my fax machine cord and I have already missed a week of work & income. It will be months before I know what all has been damaged and is missing.
We have moved professionally 3 times now and never imagined anything so unprofessional & sloppy. My kids could have done a better job. The actual cost was $2000 above the estimate plus we had to rent an $800 Uhaul and drive a truck across the country ourselves.
Please please please save yourself a horrible experience and go with another mover. Any mover would have to be better than this company

Sorry I used them
This company looks good from the outside but once they get to your place, it all goes downhill. I had 3 guys come to pick up my stuff for a single person's belongings... no bed, bureau, couch, or TV to claim. One of the three had moving experience, the other two overloaded my art work into picture boxes (good thing I had double duty bubble wrap around each piece).
They first told me worse case scenario, it wouldn't take any longer than 14 days to get my things out to Arizona. I waited 28 days.
Secondly, I somehow managed to add an additional 172 cubic ft over my original quote of 277 cu. ft. So my quote went from $1177.25 up to $2370.11 after they were done tallying up TWO fuel surcharges, a random pickup delivery charge of $75.oo, and whatever they used to pack a few picture boxes with.
I asked the dispatcher to contact the driver and give my father 2 days notice upon arrival in order to hop a plane from LA and meet them in AZ. Prior to all of this, I am the one who had to keep calling and ask when they were even going to leave the loading dock in MA. When I got the ETA, they never called to give me notice...I ended up calling the truck driver himself. He finally called my father at 10:30 am on the day they were arriving, said they would be there around 4pm and didn't show until 8pm that evening.
Once I showed up..a week later, my father explained the situation to me regarding the appearance of my belongings and to be sure to check that every thing's in one piece. (I really wish I could upload a few images) I was appalled by the abuse my stuff had taken. About 16 of my 60 boxes were mangled, literally, but luckily nothing but two plates were broken.
Being upset with the crude handling of my things, I contacted the dispatcher and emailed him pictures of my boxes and made a general complaint about it.
To which he replied en quote. The wardrobe boxes that U-Hall sells are just bad moving. They're too big and soft. And most of the time will get crushed like in your picture because the weight of the clothes hanging from the bar is too much for the box to handle. The wardrobe boxes we use are smaller by almost 20% and have much thicker walls only for that purpose. 2. Linen and book boxes might get squashed during long interstate trips because they have to be stacked on top of the other inside the trailer. However, since they're nothing fragile in them then usually no harm done.and 3. On our website there is some information about proper usage of boxes for packing.
Hmm... in the past ten years and 5 moves both long and short distance, I have NEVER encountered anything close to, as he put it, the no harm done& status of the boxes this company managed to mangle.
There is a difference between your boxes getting squashed in transit for whatever reason and them being plain out mishandled, thrown about, and downright mangled. Just throw them in the trash compactor why don't you!!
And they claim to be Gentle Movers.
This was THE WORST move I've ever had to experience.
